The 17th Skegness Challenge 2007
In aid of The Cancer Association
Spalding Sparks first ever competitive netball was at the Skegness Challenge 2007 on 29th April. The girls took the opportunity to tinker with positions and to help generate a team work ethic between all the girls. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the tournament and although the results don't look all that impressive, they are not a true reflection of the effort and performances the Spalding girls put in. Some games they were beaten by clearly better teams, then desperately unlucky in others. The girls were determined to go away with a win and they got their reward with a 6-4 victory over 'The Matrix.' So with One win, a draw and seven defeats they came away with far more positives than negatives if any at all? It left the girls going back to Spalding jubilant and hyped up for their first ever league encounter in Boston on Thursday...............WELL DONE THE SPARKS!!!
